Why we’ve always raced, and it is feedback from HRC and our riders that’s produced the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. It’s got more mid-range from intake and cylinder head upgrades, with revised gearbox ratios for incredible drive out of corners. We’ve maintained peak power, with improved response from Two Motor Throttle By Wire control that makes every rpm count – and puts pinpoint throttle precision in your right hand.

Weight savings and a finely rebalanced chassis rigidity boost handling and grip feel. Updated fairing winglets maintain downforce with less steering effort at speed and, whether you’re running through bends on a winding road or hitting apexes lap after lap, the new riding position opens up total freedom of control.

Design

From a design perspective, the new Fireblade SP combines compact proportions and MotoGP-inspired aerodynamics for sharper, faster handling. Its streamlined frame and engine create a minimal frontal area, enhanced by a direct ram-air duct for optimal airflow. Redesigned, forward-set winglets generate consistent front-end downforce with 10% less steering effort, while the extended under cowl improves stability and water management. A reshaped, lower fuel tank improves knee grip and adds capacity, while revised ergonomics—higher handlebars and lower footpegs—enhance rider control.

Our new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP starts out in the same pit lane as the CBR1000RR-R – which means MotoGP technology for its high-output, high-rpm inline four-cylinder semi-cam engine, plus optimised 9-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control and Start Mode.

Designed for the track
The Fireblade SP starts in the same pit lane as the standard Fireblade.
The performance is enhanced with identical engine and chassis updates, featuring new third-generation Electronic Suspension with advanced 43 mm S-EC3.0 NPX USD forks and TTX36 rear shock. Upgraded braking includes fade-resistant Brembo Stylema R four-piston front calipers and a Brembo master cylinder, mirroring the MotoGP-spec RC213V-S.
